Welcome to Island Trader Surf Shop! When I was a teen growing up in Daytona in the 1950's, the fun times we enjoyed centered on the beach lifestyle. Living near the beach and enjoying it with friends and neighbors, well that’s what it was all about. Surfing was just gaining popularity in those days, so we carried our 9' long boards down to the shore and enjoyed the surf.  We had are our little groups, a surf shop to gather around, but more importantly we had our fun.  Three years ago I thought about our old neighborhood surf shop on Main Street in downtown Daytona Beach and while I dreamed of owning a shop like that one, I was not sure how to get it started again.  With suggestions and input from friends, I took the best of our memories and made a great local surf shop on Main Street.  If you want to know and learn more, read “about us!”
